Autumn 2 2013-14

Hannah from Year 5 has been participating in Cross Country and Fell Running events recently. Hannah placed 8th overall in an event at Cleavley's Track, and 5th in the girls' race in Todmorden. Well done!

Year 5 enjoyed a visit from Chidren's author Victoria Barry, who helped them with their Literacy skills.

As part of our 'Six Christian Values' display series, Mrs. Hills, Mrs. Blears and Mr. Morse designed this stained glass window to symbolise 'Peace', which can be found in the hall. Next up, 'Friendship.'

At 11.00 on 11/11, the whole school observed one minute's silence to remember those who have served and those who were lost inconflicts around the world. Year 6 laid a wreath at the Anderson Shelter.

As part of Life Skills, a group of Year 5 and 6 children experienced a visit to Worsley's Marriot Hotel.

Mrs Hills and Mrs Blears have started work on the next of our Christian Values displays - the Friendship Rainbow

Year 4 enjoyed a trip to Chester to continue their work on the Romans.

We've received some interesting post recently; a letter of thanks from the Shoebox appeal, a letter of thanks from St. Ann's Hospice after the harvest collections, and confirmation of a visit from author Tom Palmer in the summer! Exciting!
