Autumn 2 2014-15

Dancing, games talent shows and a visit from the Big Man himself mark the end of term Christmas Parties. We hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year.

Amazing performances all round for the two lots of Christmas Shows. 'Mend the Manger' and 'Primary School Christmas Musical' went down a treat - thanks to all who helped, organised and those who attended.

Congrats to two of our Year 6 boys, who won prizes from MP Barbara Keeley for their entries in the Salford City Council Design a Christmas Card competition.

A stellar performance from our Choir at the Ellesmere Centre this morning - all in aid of the Rotary Club, Worsley.

Year 3 have been using Newton Meters to investigate how people in the Stone Age moved heavy objects about.

Another great turnout on a chilly morning for the EYFS Christmas Crafts Workshop (try saying that after a sherry!) - thanks to everyone who stayed.

Christmas Show rehearsals are in full swing!

Lots of fun was had in Key Stage 2 treat afternoon - melted snowman biscuits being made, festive colouring, word searches. All accompanied of course by a festive soundtrack!

As ever, Father Christmas was the most popular attraction at the Christmas Fair!

Year 6 upped their Street Smarts with a trip to Crucial Crew. They learnt what to do in a emergency, how to stay safe with strange dogs, how to protect your mobile phone and much more!.

Congratulations to all of those pupils who received their Confirmation certificates at St Paul's Church this past Sunday.

Some excellent shape work on display in Year 6.

Plenty of activities going on in the school gardens and polytunnel.

The whole school has enjoyed dressing up as a Superhero for Children In Need.

Auditions and script reads are underway for the KS2 Christmas Show.

When we held the Sponsored Getting Dressed Race day in the Summer, we decided to donate the proceeds to Guide Dogs for the Blind, who had visited us during Job Week. Jake and Audrey returned to us today to pick up a cheque for £895!

Year 1 held a Tea Party for the tiger, and enjoyed writing instructions to make jam butties for when the tiger arrived!

Year 2 have enjoyed hot seating as the Wizard from Julia Donaldson's 'The Princess and the Wizard'.
