Summer 1 2014-15

Thank you to everyone who tuned up for the Multicultural open morning. Lots of activities going on; Spanish dancers in Year 1, African Art in Year 2, tasting Greek food in Year 3, creating Australian Lamingtons in Year 4, Brazilian Art & food in Year 5 and Mexican shenanigans in Year 6! (Phew!)

Well done to our Year 5 and 6 Athletics team who brought home the gold!.

EYFS had a fun, tiring day at Smithill's Open Farm.

Multicultural week in full swing. African Art in Year 2, Romero Britto Art in Year 5 and Mexican 'Worry Dolls' in Year 6.

As part of multicultural week, Year 1 enjoyed making (and eating!) Spanish omelettes.

Reception enjoyed an 'Understanding the World' workshop, along with parents this morning..

As part of their learning challenge topic, Year 3 investigated how shadow length changes during the day.

Year 3 enjoyed a morning learning about Ancient Greece with Touchstones Rochdale.

Post-SATs treat for the hard-working Year 6 bunch in the park.

We held a mock General Election this morning in assembly. Well done to the Green Party for their (very slim) victory!

Year 2 enjoyed a day in Blackpool, where they visited the Sea Life Centre and the Pier at Lytham St Ann's.

Our good friends from IKA Karate have been in doing some whole school Karate sessions.
