Summer 1 2016-17

EYFS enjoyed a tiring day out at Stockley Park Farm, thanks for having us!

A big well done to our Junior Athletics Team, who performed really well at last night's meeting at Cleavley's Athletics Track.

Our final Art/DT day of this half term including Fruit Kebab building in Year 1, Norman Shield designing in Year 4, Brazillian Mask making in Year 5, and Strawberry Pot design in Year 6!

Year 1 have been gearing up for their Phonics Screening by using Sound Swatters.

Congratulations, well done and thanks to our Year 6 Rounders team who competed in a tournament hosted at Broadoak.

As part of their Learning Challenge work on the seaside, Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Blackpool, taking in the Sea Life Centre and Lytham St. Ann's Beach

Nursery have been fine-tuning their motor skills, throwing food into the Hungry Caterpillar's mouth!

Thanks to Walkden High, our Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed their Media Workshop.

Ready for the Autumn, Year 4 have made bird feeders in Design Technology.

Year 2 evaluated different types of bread in preparation for making their own.

Year 6 (and Mrs O!) celebrated the end of SATs with some outdoor fun and a little dabbing.

Year 1 enjoyed a (noisy) music lesson.

Nursery have been working on a Minibeasts topic - and by sheer coincidence found this huge spider roaming about!

Year 1 enjoyed a trip to Liverpool's Maritime Museum to continue their Titanic work.

Massive thankyou to M and M Theatric who gave a great performance of 'The Railway Children'.

We are all so proud of our swimming team for their participation and sportsmanship in the Salford Swimming Gala.

We are lucky enough this week to have the Life Education Bus on site, having sessions with each year group.

Year 4 used instruments to recreate bird song.

Year 1 have been planting beans as part of their Science topic.
